A dark, deep sound. Popular in jazz and neo-soul. Unlike the major 11th, the (minor) third is far enough from the eleventh that it doesn't need to be omitted.

How to play the Em11 chord on piano

Split the recommended voicing between the hands: play E2 and D3 with the left hand and A3, F#4 and G4 with the right. Suggested fingering is 5–1 on the left and 1–4–5 on the right (1 is the thumb). The perfect fifth B can usually be omitted from an extended chord, keeping the sound clear and the voicing manageable.
