Terms of Use
1. Who operates the service
The Akordy.kytary.cz service (the “Service”) is operated by AUDIO PARTNER s.r.o., Company ID 27114147, registered office Mezi Vodami 2044/23, Modřany, 143 00 Prague 4, Czech Republic, registered with the Municipal Court in Prague, file C 97288 (the “Operator”).
2. What the Service offers
The Service lets you view song lyrics with chords, adapt them for your own playing (transposition, capo, notation, font size), write your own entries in the editor, build songbooks, share them by link, print and export to PDF, and follow the lyrics automatically while singing. Public content is available without registration; creating your own content requires a free account.
3. Account
By registering and activating an account you enter into an agreement with the Operator governed by these Terms. Registration data must be truthful; the account is personal and you are responsible for activity under it. You may cancel the account at any time; the Operator may restrict or cancel an account upon a material breach of these Terms, in particular repeated uploading of content that infringes third-party rights.
4. User content and copyright
By uploading content (entries, songbooks, corrections) you declare that you are entitled to use it this way and you grant the Operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, store, reformat and make it available within the Service, including its print and export renditions. Song lyrics are usually protected works — upload them knowing that you bear responsibility for the lawfulness of the upload.
The Operator acts as a hosting provider within the meaning of Section 5 of Czech Act No. 480/2004 Coll. Uploaded content is moderated and the Operator may decline to publish or may remove content that breaches the law or these Terms. Reports of infringing content are received at abuse@akordy.kytary.cz; a report should contain a link to the content and a description of the claimed infringement.
5. Rules of use
It is prohibited to upload unlawful or offensive content or content you lack rights to. You must not disrupt the operation of the Service, circumvent its security, extract the database beyond ordinary use, or pass off another person’s content as your own. A share link to a non-public songbook is meant for whoever its author hands it to; mass publication of such links defeats the purpose of the feature.
6. Availability and liability
The Service is provided free of charge, “as is”. The Operator does not warrant uninterrupted availability, the accuracy of user-submitted content, or the content of third-party services (YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music and others). The Operator is liable for damage only to the extent liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
7. Personal data
The processing of personal data is described in the separate Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
8. Changes to the Terms
The Operator may amend these Terms to a reasonable extent; a change will be announced on this page at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you disagree with a change, you may cancel your account before the effective date; continued use of the Service after that date means acceptance.
9. Final provisions
These Terms and the agreement on the use of the Service are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. Czech courts have jurisdiction over disputes; consumers may also turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (coi.cz) for out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes.
