F#add9 Guitar Chord

A fresh major chord sound enriched with a ninth, but without the seventh. Popular in pop and indie rock. Unlike the full ninth chord (9), it contains no seventh tension.

How to play the F#add9 chord on guitar

Read the string pattern 2–1–X–1–2–2 from the low E string to the high E string. Numbers in the pattern are frets; numbers in the colored dots are left-hand fingers. X means a muted string and 0 means an open string.
