Ab6 Guitar Chord

A nostalgic, retro sound with an added sixth. Widely used in jazz, country and Hawaiian music. Compared to maj7, it sounds less "jazzy" and more "vintage".

How to play the Ab6 chord on guitar

Read the string pattern X–3–1–1–1–1 from the low E string to the high E string. Numbers in the pattern are frets; numbers in the colored dots are left-hand fingers. X means a muted string and 0 means an open string.
