Gadd4 Guitar Chord

A major chord with an added fourth — unlike sus4, it still includes the third. Creates gentle tension between the third and fourth. Rarer than sus4, occasionally found in country and folk.

How to play the Gadd4 chord on guitar

Read the string pattern 3–2–0–0–1–X from the low E string to the high E string. Numbers in the pattern are frets; numbers in the colored dots are left-hand fingers. X means a muted string and 0 means an open string.
