Cadd11 Guitar Chord

A major chord with an added eleventh (fourth an octave up) without the seventh and ninth. Creates gentle tension between the third and eleventh. Less common than add9.

How to play the Cadd11 chord on guitar

Read the string pattern X–3–2–0–1–1 from the low E string to the high E string. Numbers in the pattern are frets; numbers in the colored dots are left-hand fingers. X means a muted string and 0 means an open string.
